Terms of Service
By using EduShorts, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and EduShorts Ltd.
1. Definitions
- "Platform" refers to the EduShorts web application, mobile site, and all related services operated by EduShorts Ltd.
- "User" refers to any individual accessing or using the Platform, whether as an employee, administrator, or visitor.
- "Organization" refers to the company, entity, or institution that subscribes to EduShorts for its employees or members.
- "Content" refers to any courses, videos, quizzes, documents, or materials created, uploaded, or generated on the Platform.
2. Account registration and access
To use EduShorts, you must create an account or be invited by your Organization administrator. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your login credentials confidential.
You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at ceo@veliormedia.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Subscription and payment
EduShorts is offered on a subscription basis. Pricing, billing cycles, and included features depend on the plan selected by the Organization. Current pricing starts at $12/employee/month.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 30 days before the renewal date. All fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law (including the Korean Consumer Protection Act and EU consumer withdrawal rights within 14 days of purchase, provided the service has not been fully used).
4. Intellectual property — your content
You own 100% of the content you create. Any courses, training materials, videos, quizzes, or documents created through your account belong entirely to your Organization. We do not claim any ownership rights over your content.
By uploading content, you grant EduShorts a limited, non-exclusive license to host, display, and deliver your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to your Organization. This license terminates when you delete the content or close your account.
We never use your proprietary content to train our AI models or share it with other organizations or third parties.
5. Intellectual property — our platform
The EduShorts platform, including its design, software, algorithms, AI models, trademarks, and documentation, is the exclusive property of EduShorts Ltd. and is protected by intellectual property laws in Korea, France, the United States, and international treaties.
Your subscription grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Platform for its intended purpose. You may not reverse-engineer, copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the Platform.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, discriminatory, harmful, or infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
- Use the Platform to harass, spam, or distribute malware
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, servers, or data
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Platform without prior written consent
- Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Platform to unauthorized third parties
Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
7. AI-generated content
EduShorts provides AI tools to assist in course creation. AI-generated content (scripts, quizzes, video narration) is provided as a starting point. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all AI-generated content before publishing.
EduShorts does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for your specific training needs. Content used for compliance or safety training should always be verified by qualified professionals.
8. Data protection
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these Terms. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
9. Service availability and modifications
We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors beyond our control (force majeure, third-party outages, natural disasters).
We may modify, update, or discontinue features of the Platform. Material changes affecting your subscription will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- EduShorts is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by your Organization in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law, including mandatory consumer protection provisions under Korean, EU, or French law.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate the subscription by providing 30 days written notice before the next renewal date. Upon termination:
- Your access to the Platform will be deactivated at the end of the current billing period
- You may request an export of your content within 30 days of termination
- After 30 days, your content will be permanently deleted from our servers
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately in case of material breach of these Terms, including violation of the acceptable use policy.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the Seoul Central District Court.
For users in the European Union, nothing in these Terms affects your rights under mandatory EU consumer protection laws. EU users retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence.
For users in the United States, you agree to resolve disputes through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB), except where prohibited by applicable state law.
13. Modifications to these terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
