3. Why we process your data (legal basis)
Under GDPR Article 6 and PIPA Article 15, we process your data on the following legal bases:
- Contract performance — to provide the EduShorts service, manage your account, deliver courses, and issue certificates
- Legitimate interest — to improve our platform, analyze usage patterns, prevent fraud, and ensure security

4. How we share your data
We never sell your personal data. We may share data with:

- Service providers — hosting (cloud infrastructure), email delivery, payment processing, analytics. All providers are bound by data processing agreements.
- Legal authorities — only when required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
5. International data transfers
Your data may be processed in South Korea, the European Union, and the United States. For transfers outside the EU/EEA, we use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission. For transfers from Korea, we comply with PIPA cross-border transfer requirements including obtaining consent where required.

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Account data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 3 years for legal/tax requirements. Demo request data is retained for 12 months. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 8).
7. Cookies
We use the following types of cookies:

- Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use our site (Google Analytics). These are only set with your consent.
You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent the platform from working properly.
